Unobi Technologies ("we," "us," or "our") operates Streamora. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

  • Email address — required for authentication
  • Display name — required, shown to group members
  • First and last name — optional
  • Phone number — optional
  • Address — optional

Usage Information

  • Media titles you add, rate, or vote on
  • Watch history within your groups
  • Group memberships and interactions

Technical Information

  • Session cookies (for authentication only)
  • Server logs (IP addresses, request timestamps — standard web server operation)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and operate the Service
  • Authenticate your identity
  • Display your name to other members in your groups
  • Send invitation emails on your behalf (when you invite someone)
  • Improve the Service based on aggregate usage patterns

4. What We Do NOT Do

  • We do not sell your personal information to third parties
  • We do not share your data with advertisers for targeting purposes
  • We do not track you across other websites
  • We do not use your watch preferences for purposes outside of providing the Service

5. AI Processing Disclosure

Streamora includes an AI-powered feature called Streamora Guide (AI Assistant). When the feature is enabled on the platform and the user has not opted out:

  • Text you type into the Streamora Guide chat may be sent to a third-party processor
  • We send only the content of your conversation — not your email, personal information, or watch history
  • AI responses are generated and not stored by the processor beyond the session

Any user may disable the Streamora Guide AI Assistant in their profile settings at any time. When disabled, no user data is sent to any AI provider.

6. Third-Party Services

  • Authentication provider — handles account authentication (email, password). Subject to the provider's privacy policy.
  • Metadata API — we send movie/show titles to look up metadata. No personal information is sent.
  • Email provider — used to send invitation emails. Only the recipient's email address and invitation content are transmitted.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal information will be removed from our systems. Anonymized usage data may be retained for analytics.

8. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including:

  • Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Signed, HttpOnly session cookies
  • Database access restricted to application services

No system is perfectly secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

9. Cookies

We use a single session cookie (streamora_session) for authentication. This cookie:

  • Contains your user ID, display name, and active group (signed, not readable by JavaScript)
  • Expires after 30 days
  • Is required for the Service to function
  • Is not used for tracking or advertising

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

11. Your Rights

You may:

  • Access your personal data via your Profile page
  • Update or correct your information at any time
  • Request deletion of your account and data
  • Request a copy of your data by contacting us

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes through the Service or via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
